My brother John and I traveled to Spain one year, on an overly ambitious trip in which we (I) wanted to get a taste of 11 cities in 16 days.  We landed in Madrid on the same day that the Pope arrived to speak to Catholic youth for the annual youth convention.  The streets were overwhelmed with singing, cheering, praying teens.

In trying to escape the crowds, we missed our train... twice.  We also coined the phrase, "Y** P**** O* S***."  YPOS, for short, pronounced "Why Pause?"

That phrase now means something else for us.  We missed two trains, but we completed our journey.  We laughed, we screamed, we ate, we saw.  In places with egregious sewer systems, we smelled.

Life goes on.  Let's journey on together.
